This morning I am announcing a pause in the use of CPD's clock license plate reader. The technology while we investigate a deeply troubling situation involving misuse of the system by an individual. What I have learned has shaken my trust. I'm angry. I'm disappointed. The individual involved has been relieved of duty. While this matter is investigated, I have directed Public Safety Director Pashadi and Chief Bryant to take every appropriate action to ensure this individual is held accountable.
